2025 CMDA NATIONAL CONVENTION
Students, Residents and Fellows
First Step: Apply for a Scholarship and Register for the Convention
A limited number of scholarships are available to students, residents and fellows. This scholarship covers your convention registration fee. Be sure to apply for a scholarship BEFORE you register for the convention.
After you apply for a scholarship, staff from CMDA’s Campus & Community Ministries will contact you and provide a promo code to register for the convention. Once you receive that code, please register for the convention.
Second Step: Arrange for Lodging and Travel
The Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Louis St. Charles is the host hotel for the 2025 CMDA National Convention. You will need to make your room reservations, which are separate from your conference registration fees. CMDA has arranged for a discounted room rate.
If you are flying to the convention, we recommend flying into the St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). This airport is approximately 10 to 15 minutes from the Embassy Suites in St. Charles.
More Information about Lodging and Travel
Your registration fee provides boxed lunches on Friday and Saturday, plus the evening banquet on Saturday. Breakfast is provided through the hotel. Dinner on Thursday and Friday are on your own, so check out these options for meals not included in your registration.
Third Step: Join the Community and Get Involved
CMDA has a wide variety of special events and opportunities just for you at the convention! So join the community now and start planning for your visit to St. Charles.
- WhatsApp Group – Join the 2025 WhatsApp group so you can keep up with all the special events and details just for students, residents and fellows.
- Special Events – Check out the full list of special events, such as the VIE Poster Session, Dinner with Docs, breakout sessions and more, all designed to give you special opportunities to fellowship with other Christians in healthcare.
- VIE Poster Session – This annual event held during the convention offers prizes for the posters that score highest on visual and oral presentation. Any student, resident or fellow in the healthcare field is eligible to participate. Deadline for submission is December 9, 2024.
“The VIE Poster Session is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to present your scholarly activity to a diverse audience of Christian medical professionals! You will be inspired and encouraged to see what the national body of CMDA medical students, residents and fellows are researching to improve patient care. If you are accepted to present at the poster session, your convention registration fee is waived, and you can likely seek financial support from your medical school/residency/fellowship for travel and lodging expenses, given this is a national-level presentation! If you are working on any scholarly activity (original research, quality improvement or clinical vignettes), do not miss the opportunity to present it at the CMDA National Convention!”
